POST OFFICE/BUREAU DE POSTE/DRINKWATER red on white aluminum sign with multicolour QEII period logo. Size 24" x 23". Some weathering & scratches. This one comes with an AP 5/09 DRINKWATER/SASK. split ring cancel nice strike on a postcard. What a gem item for a Saskatchewan town cancel collector to hang in his den! Shipping costs extra on this item.

LLOYDMINSTER/SASKATCHEWAN 7:30 PM/AUG 14/1945 machine cancel ties #254 to cover to local address. Has typewritten "First Day cover (V-J Day August 14/45)". Not a first day cover as we know them, but certainly is a V-J Day cover! Unsealed, wee tiny bit of aging.

Back flap is stationery of HMCS Woodstock. Slightly cut down at left affects airmail label, some ink stains front & back. NPO 1113 was HMCS Naden at Esquimalt, BC.

N.P.O./1213 JUL 9 1945 blue ink MOTO B/T #M14-241 RF Unreported, two strikes on a block of 6 #260, reasonably sound copies with a couple light creases. Certainly a rare cancel & probably postal usage (non-philatelic). NPO 1213 was at Saskatoon.

REGINA, SASK./TERMINAL A MAY 23/1940 machine slogan cancel on Regina cc cover to soldier overseas c/o Base P.O. Ottawa, has purple ink str. line 'SALVED FROM THE SEA' on front & back. Stamps are missing (as would be expected), and it shows the signs of a cover that was recovered from a ship sinking. Opened 3 sides.
