SP 21/86 split ring free strike to USA, has receiving b/s. Intertesting letter contents on N.B. Ry. letterhead. Some aging, rough LR corner, but an UNLISTED RPO marking!

Meter #NF 2.1 ST. JOHN'S NFLD/= 4 V 32 meter #N15 4’ impression with 'It Pays to Travel the Overland Route-Newfoundland Railway' slogan to 'Newfoundland Railway' cc cover to CARBONEAR/NEWF'D. indistinct split ring b/s. There is also a partial RPO cancel over top the meter impression. Wee tiny bit of aging, top portion of the meter impression is weak, as is usual for these.

MAY 27/1953 machine slogan ties USA #804 & 806 addressed to Port Harrison c/o E.A.P., Ottawa. RF 250, nice commercial usage on incoming mail! This is the rare square hammer with tall letters R.M.S. CANADA.
